Support for a non-competitive solidarity marathon such as the Telethon Relay in Udine has a very special meaning this year as it allows us to express our commitment towards research at a particularly difficult moment like the one we are currently experiencing, in which it is more important than ever not to miss out on participating in fundraising events such as this.
The 22nd edition of the Telethon Relay, which is normally held each year in the centre of Udine cannot take place physically, but this will not prevent those who want to get involved from contributing in some way.
To comply with the current regulations and guarantee everyone’s health and safety, the Marathon will take place “remotely”. Each participant can choose a time and a place to run their marathon, but they must use the app that has to be downloaded to record it. To participate in the marathon, the time frame will run from the 12th to 20th December, in conjunction with the Telethon Marathon, which is being broadcast on TV.
This year the Pittini Group Foundation will support the event, pledging to turn the kilometres that have been run into a donation in favour of the fight against rare genetic diseases. The Telethon Relay fully represents the main areas that the Foundation has been created to support, enhancing solidarity and territorial projects, with the aim of providing innovative answers to the problems of economic, social and educational development.
