This gigantic redevelopment is currently underway on the <strong>coast of Athens<\/strong>. On the site of the former International Airport of the capital, which operated from 1938 to 2001, an intelligent city is taking shape, complete with a large coastal park, residences, offices, hotels, shopping centres, cultural infrastructure and the first two skyscrapers in Greek history. Within this rapidly developing context, the <strong>Riviera Galleria<\/strong> has been assigned a strategic role. Our client, <a href=\"https:\/\/tsichlakis.gr\/en\/\">TSICHLAKIS GROUP<\/a>, based in Rethymno, Crete,\u00a0 one of the biggest cut and bend facility in Greece with a history of 60 years in the steel sector, is involved in the project, which is set to become one of the most iconic shopping and leisure destination in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n<h2>The shopping centre in the Ellinikon<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Riviera Galleria<\/strong> is a key commercial asset in the Ellinikon masterplan. <strong>Construction began in 2024<\/strong>, with <strong>completion expected in the first quarter of 2026<\/strong>. Spanning 23,000 m\u00b2 across two levels, the centre will comprise over 100 retail units offering fashion, food, and entertainment. Rather than being a simple shopping centre, it is intended to be a new centre of attraction for both tourists and residents, supporting economic growth and enhancing the coastal area. Located in the heart of a luxury district, the <a href=\"https:\/\/rivieragalleria.theellinikon.com.gr\">Riviera Galleria<\/a> forms part of a complex that includes the Vouliagmenis Mall, residential and commercial areas, upscale hotels, the spectacular Riviera Tower and a new one-kilometre beach.<\/p>\n<h2>Sustainable design connected to the sea<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project features a sustainable design that establishes a strong connection with the marine landscape, inspired by the movement of the sea, in the form of a <strong>wavy canopy<\/strong>. The Riviera Galleria incorporates <strong>a range of sustainable solutions<\/strong>, including natural local materials, green spaces, atriums to maximise natural light and ventilation, photovoltaic systems, rainwater collection and intelligent technologies that <strong>reduce consumption, ensuring efficiency and harmony with the environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Pittini certified steel at the heart of the Riviera Galleria<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project involves the use of <strong>approximately 1,000 tonnes<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pittini.com\/en\/products\/building-sector\/rebars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pittini B500C reinforcing steel bars<\/a> for the foundations and supporting structure of the building complex.
