In order to maintain sustainability, it is necessary to focus on renewable energy, the possible recovery of this energy throughout the production process, as well as plant efficiency and the conservation of natural resources. The environmental data in the report reflect the Group’s commitment to limiting pollution and consumption, through sophisticated technologies such as EAF, innovative projects such as Zero Waste, and a production process focused on a circular economy. 82% of the materials used in production are recycled, 74% of the total waste produced is sent for recovery\/recycling, direct and indirect Co2eq <\/sub>emissions have been reduced by 10% compared to the previous year, and water consumption has been reduced by 21%.<\/p>\n With respect to social issues, the Group emphasises that people are its most valuable asset, and is committed to ensuring continuous training, opportunities, and constant improvement in work activities. More than numbers and results, the company is committed to the health and safety of its employees.<\/p>\n The Pittini Group Sustainability Report has been published according to the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an independent international body and the main authority on sustainability performance reporting.
