{"id":8499,"date":"2017-05-23T07:59:52","date_gmt":"2017-05-23T05:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pittini.it\/corporate\/research-development\/srs\/"},"modified":"2023-08-29T11:58:18","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T09:58:18","slug":"srs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pittini.it\/en\/innovation\/research-development\/srs\/","title":{"rendered":"SRS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13980 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pittini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/Gruppo-Pittini-loghi-SRS-1024x275.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"252\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The SRS (Smart steel slag treatment system)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The project is financed by <strong>POR FESR 2014-2020<\/strong>, activity 1.3 DGR n. 646\/2016 with a expenditure amounting to 667.799,25 euros and a contribution amounting to 174,371.95 euros.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main task of the Srs project is to develop <strong>new technologies to process the slag coming from the electric arc furnace (EAF<\/strong>). In the steel industry, steel slag is usually considered a waste product. Its main features are a high temperature (up to 1500 \u00b0C degrees) and a significant environmental impact of its cooling process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the project is to study new technologies in order to use slag in an eco-friendly way because at present it normally is disposed of. New production methods and equipment are being studied and developed as prototypes to obtain a safe and energy efficient production process.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7915 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pittini.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gruppo-Pittini-sistema-scoria-SRS-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"627\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The achievement of the goals set will allow Ferriere Nord to benefit of a steel slag processing method able <strong>to reduce the environmental impact<\/strong> and to save considerably on energy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The whole Ferriere Nord\u2019s production cycle is an excellent example of <em><strong>Circular Economy<\/strong><\/em>: iron is 100% recyclable.
