Ten years have passed since Acciaierie di Verona joined the Pittini Group in December 2015. During this time, the historic production site in Verona has undergone a radical transformation and is now a modern, efficient plant, fully integrated into the production system of the Group.
Since the introduction of the 2016 Masterplan and the Sustainable Steel and Resilient Steel projects, which are dedicated to reducing environmental impact, numerous investments have been made at the site, including the construction of a new wire rod rolling mill and continuous casting, improvements to energy efficiency, the covering of the scrap yard and the installation of new water and fume treatment systems. Construction of the bar rolling mill is also underway, and it is expected to be fully operational by 2026.
In addition to the upgrade of the facilities, people have also been closely involved in the development process. Continuous training programmes and new partnerships with schools, technical institutes and universities have supported the growth of Acciaierie di Verona and reinforced its ties with the surrounding territory.
Over the past 10 years, the Pittini Group has worked to rebuild its reputation as a solid and sustainable company by investing in technology, infrastructure, and the quality of working environments, as well as dialogue with the local community. This decade marks a path of relaunch and innovation, looking to the future without forgetting its roots.
