The Pittini Group confirms its commitment to efficiency and sustainability with the project to modernise the rolling mill at the Siderpotenza plant. The project, developed in collaboration with Danieli, represents a key step in the site’s evolution, increasing production flexibility and overall performance.
The project involves the installation of a new rolling mill, designed to prepare the plant for the integration of a future spooler line. In the initial phase, it will be possible to produce round bars in 2.5-tonne Jumbo® coils. Subsequently, thanks to the installation of an HBW billet welding machine, capacity can be extended to 5-tonne Jumbo® coils, expanding the product range and opening up new opportunities for market development.
The revamping will be carried out through a highly coordinated intervention, designed to minimise the impact on production activities. The new plant is expected to be commissioned during 2027.
