The audit of Acciaierie di Verona‘s EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) has been successfully completed. The result confirms that the Group’s plant ranks among those with the lowest CO₂ emissions, the outcome of a structured approach that combines the procurement of electricity from renewable sources, certified via Guarantees of Origin, with the adoption of tools such as energy release, which enable more efficient and sustainable management of energy consumption.
The audits confirmed low emission values for the main products (hot-rolled products, re-wound coils and electro-welded mesh), in line with the Group’s sustainability objectives and its commitment to the progressive decarbonisation of production processes.
In particular, the certified figure for wire rod (430 kgCO2/tonne) is one of the lowest among Italian producers, confirming the level of environmental competitiveness achieved.
