Pittarc has been awarded EPD certification for its welding wires

The environmental product declarations cover GMAW and SAW wires, as well as copper-coated wires manufactured at the Osoppo plant, providing the market with verified data on the environmental performance of these products.

The Pittini Group is stepping up its efforts towards greater environmental transparency. Pittarc, which specialises in the manufacture of welding wires, has obtained EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification – an environmental product declaration verified by an independent third party in accordance with internationally recognised standards.

The products of Pittarc, a company specialising in the manufacture of welding wires for the GMAW and SAW electric arc welding processes, as well as copper-clad wires, have been awarded EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification, an environmental product declaration verified by an independent third party in accordance with internationally recognised standards.

The EPD is a tool that is increasingly in demand in the market, as it enables the environmental performance of products to be communicated in a transparent and verifiable manner throughout their life cycle. Based on the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, the declaration provides objective data on the environmental impacts associated with the various stages of the product, from the sourcing of raw materials right through to end-of-life. By obtaining Environmental Product Declarations for GMAW and SAW welding wires and copper-coated wires, Pittarc ranks among the first companies in the sector to have certified the environmental performance of its products through EPDs verified by an independent third party.
